Julian owns three thriving e-commerce businesses: The Regency Chess Company, The Harmonica Company, and Coffee House Guitars. He founded his first business, The Regency Chess Company, in 2005, the day after leaving his job in the motor trade, starting from a room in his parents' house with £4000 in savings. By 2010, the business had expanded into a purpose-built warehouse and evolved into a global trading company.

Currently, the businesses operate from a larger warehouse, which accommodates all three companies. The cornerstone of their success has been Julian's expertise in e-commerce and online marketing, including website optimization for search engines. Today, the supply chain and customer base are global, and several successful niche brands have been firmly established.
